Your conclusion should always talk about the research information you have derived at. At best, if it is so relevant, you may offer useful directions of future research while writing your conclusion. You could also suggest what new avenues of research that has been opened up by your argument. But, whatever you do, do not include an entirely new topic in your conclusion. If the information has a huge significance in the argument, it should be introduced in the literature review and other central chapters like data analysis.

Your conclusion is trying to summarize the findings of your argument and come to a decision or further hypotheses. Adding a new topic would distract a reader away from the impact of the argument you have focused the research on.

Summarize the argument

Your conclusion is the place where you can remind your reader that you have accomplished in establishing the argument of your thesis. You can do so by briefly summarizing all those points that you have made in the preceding paragraphs of the dissertation body. There is no need to reargue these points once again. Whatever argument you place has to be completed in the earlier part of the essay.

Just reiterate the points and demonstrate directly these points that has addressed and supported your thesis. A conclusion can actually help the reader identify what areas of the topic lack enough research and guide them to newer topics from it.

Reiterate the thesis you proposed
